Childhood fears
What did you fear when you were younger? Do you still fear them or have you overcome them?

For myself, I feared the dark... not of it, but what lay in wait within it. When your eyes play tricks on you, it makes it seem like any terrifying thing that imagination could devise lives in the dark. I even feared of being alone; everyone passing away and leaving me behind, even now I still fear it.

Re: Childhood fears
When I was young, I would constantly fear of dying. I soon came to realize that death is just a normal point of the cycle of life, and that there's nothing I can do to prevent it from claiming me.

Re: Childhood fears
One of my other childhood fears was me being dragged to Hell by demons in my sleep.

Re: Childhood fears
I had pretty normal fears, monsters under the bed, ghosts, the dark, etc.
I remember one night, back when I had bunk bed, I heard growling coming from the bottom bunk. I told my mom, but she just told me "It was probably just the cat." I didn't sleep very well that night.

Role Model
When I was a kid, there was some episode of a TV show I really liked that had a lasting impact on my life. The character had a dream of sorts and faced himself from the past at the end. The younger version pointed out that he now represented everything he was once against, and he couldn't defend himself.
I always feared having that happen to me. It kind of did, in an ever so slow, subtle process.
I also feared large, fast animals.
